20 Years of Senior Games

This year approximately 2,000 senior athletes from The Villages and surrounding community competed in The Villages Senior Games, celebrating its 20^th year. From water sports to racquet sports and everything else in between, Villagers went head-to-head with friends and neighbors in friendly competition. Of the total athletes, 1,000 competed in the combination of Pickleball and Track & Field alone.  And over 600 new athletes joined in The Villages games for the first time.  Watch the video above for a look back at not only this year, but some of the memories and moments we’ve made over the past 20 years. Hear from John Rohan, Director of Recreation & Parks as he shares what the games meant to our community.
