Originally from Tyler, TX, Sonja and her husband Billy first fell in love with The Villages while visiting her mom in 2004. After many return trips with their children, Austin and Emily, they were finally able to make The Villages their home in the summer of 2020.

Since becoming a Villager, Sonja has enjoyed trying many things that Florida’s Friendliest Hometown® has to offer. Just to name a few: dancing, swimming, pickleball, golfing (trying), and cruising The Villages in her black and hot pink golf car. Spending her free time with new friends and neighbors, wine tasting, and saltwater fishing have quickly become some of Sonja’s favorite activities.

As a veteran of the US Air Force, Sonja understands the importance of excellence in service. As a former healthcare professional, she understands the importance of compassion in service. For 27 years Sonja worked as CT Technologist, always striving to provide the best care to every patient.
