Robert Russell’s upbringing took him to many places, but he always felt most at home in Florida. He began his career as a personal trainer in Cape Coral, FL, but soon felt a deeper calling to serve his country and pursue personal growth. This led him to enlist in the Army, where he served a six-year assignment as an 82nd Airborne Infantryman at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. This chapter was among the most rewarding yet challenging times of his life. During these years, Robert gained a deeper understanding of the value of family and community, met the love of his life, Valerie, and formed friendships that were stronger than blood. However, like many service members, he faced the hardships of military life, often separated from family due to assignments and training. In 2022, following his medical separation from the Army, Robert and Valerie relocated to Ocklawaha, just outside The Villages, where they now happily reside with their two dogs. Their move to this small town, nestled in the Ocala National Forest, was fueled by a shared dream of starting a family and being close to nature.

Since relocating, Robert has worked as a plumber in The Villages, a role that has given him valuable insight into both the homebuilding process and the lives of its residents. Listening to their stories and learning more about the culture of The Villages, he developed a deep appreciation for what makes this community truly unique. That’s when Robert realized he wanted to serve The Villages’ residents in a more meaningful way and contribute to the community he had come to admire.

“The Villages has afforded me the opportunity to make lasting impressions. The relationships I built in the Army helped me understand what this truly means. Experiencing genuine selflessness, having people outside of family who not only cared deeply but were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for me, left an impression that changed me forever. It showed me the true power of caring for others on a deeper level. This understanding drives my commitment to serving you. I’m blessed to be part of a community built on values of service, loyalty, and genuine care, and I’m truly honored to have your trust as I help guide you through the next chapter of your life. It’s a responsibility I take to heart, and I will work diligently as your trusted advisor to help determine if The Villages is right for you. My goal is to leave a lasting impression and to make sure every step of this journey is focused on your needs and your vision for the future.”
