Gary Sowder was raised in the country near a small southern Indiana town where his mother, or better known as “momma,” shaped him into who he is today. He’s had the pleasure of having his family and children being a part of many of his business adventures and life experiences and cherishes every memory.

He is a decorated veteran with 12 years of service in the Intelligence world of the Air Force. After serving his country, he turned his sights on serving the needs of others in the real estate world more than 28 years ago.

Gary has mastered the understanding of all aspects of Real Estate from work that includes that of a developer of PUD’s, master planning golf course living, and in real estate sales for both new construction and existing homes as an independent real estate Broker. His business skills were further developed as the owner of a Winery in Lubbock Texas, at a Real Estate and Property Management company in Bonita Beach/Fort Myers Beach, Florida, and in his Catamaran Charter business in Key West, Florida.

In his spare time, he still plays softball, tennis at a competitive level, loves to golf, cycle, dive, fish and just being in the air flying or on the water sailing. In addition, he earned his 100-Ton Master Captain and a Private Pilot licenses.

He is always seeking to be a better person. Gary understands the value of integrity, honesty, and the service of others. So, when offered the opportunity to live in The Villages and also join the family of The Properties of The Villages, he knew it was a dream come true. He looks forward to having the honor of helping others and making their dreams come true.

He has come to understand and respect the sacrifices others have given in life to achieve their dreams. Gary believes, “It’s not the words spoken that make the difference, it’s the actions giving to others that speak the loudest.”
