Everglades Recreation

Named for Florida’s largest national park, Everglades Recreation offers a variety of fun-filled experiences for everyone. Step inside and you immediately feel as if you’ve entered a grand lodge in the great northwest. Pictures, paintings, and murals of national parks from across the country adorn the walls and the gathering rooms where residents can be found engaging in card and board games, arts & crafts, or performances on the indoor stage. Just outside, you’ll discover a variety of popular court and lawn games as well as a multipurpose field where residents enjoy kite flying, flag football, and more! Unique to this recreation area are the radio-controlled boats and cars that can be found racing around their respective courses. For nature lovers, take a journey under an oak canopy found at the nearby picturesque Hogeye Preserve Pathway where you’re sure to spot some Florida wildlife along the way!
